Hi all,
Here are a few May dates for your diary –:
On Sunday 8th John Hinshelwood will be taking part in a cancer charity gig at THE RUGBY CLUB in STIRLING. This event has been running successfully for many years now, and is in memory of Graham Whitelaw, who wrote a column for The Stirling Observer under the name of ‘The Scribbler’. Graham was also a colleague of John’s at Garthamlock Secondary School in Glasgow back in the 70s, and there will be many performers taking part over the course of the afternoon.
On Saturday 14th, John will be teaming up again with bandpersons Tim Black and Ed McGlone for a trip across to the Isle of Bute and a gig for Transclyde Music at CRAIGMORE BOWLING CLUB in ROTHESAY. Opening the show will be the excellent John McMeekin.
On Sunday 29th drummer Frank McHugh will be added to the line up again for an appearance at the annual STRATHYRE FESTIVAL, and the band are scheduled for a late afternoon slot.
The trio return to TCHAI OVNA in GLASGOW for their monthly tea fix on Tuesday 31st.
And speaking of TCHAI, Tim Black and Ed McGlone (aka Friction Free Flight) will be appearing there on Tuesday 10th. As well as being very fine musicians, Tim and Ed have written some quality songs and come with the littleroots seal of approval.
And finally, our Edinburgh chums THE GO FIGURES will be at Glasgow’s BON ACCORD on Saturday 14th.
